Now this is my kind of bishop
Bishop James Conley, auxiliary bishop of Denver, throws out the first pitch before a recent Rockies-Nationals game:
I had the pleasure of working with then-Fr. Conley in the early 1990′s on pro-life efforts. He was an outstanding priest, and I’m sure he is an outstanding bishop. And it looks like he’s a pretty tough southpaw as well.

This partly heals the shame of the Rockies grand opening game in their then brand new ball park in the early 1990s…which happened on Good Friday, despite the protests of Catholics and our good archbishop Stafford (now Cardinal Stafford).
Did I see it right? Was it clocked at 92 mph?
And that was just his change-up!
92 mph? I doubt it. That follow-through stance tells me it was a wiffleball. Don’t doubt he will be a terrific bishop, though.
