The simple fact is that thanks to Jesus, there's no need for the Old Law ... any of it. Moses received the Old Law from God on the first Jewish Feast of Pentecost(Shauvot). We received the Church along with the continuous advocacy of the Holy Spirit on the first Christian Pentecost, some 1500 years later. On that very special day, the temporary, non-salvific provision of God (the Law) was officially rendered obsolete and respectfully set aside in favor of the grace empowered Church, which is the authentic Kingdom of God, headed by Jesus Christ, who is now our final recourse in all things. Supernaturally provisioned by Christ, through his Church, only the spirit of the Old Law remains, with none of the inherent limitations. The two were never compatible, since the letter of the old Law led only to death, while the grace and love of Jesus Christ brings eternal life and peace. More on this matter (complete with all pertinent church citations) here: http://douglawrence.wordpress.com/christians-no-longer-under-the-old-law/.
