A brief life is still a beautiful life

Yesterday, I wrote [1] about how some women have late-term abortions due to physical problems with their children. Here is a clip about a woman who did NOT have a late-term abortions, even though her child was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 [2]:

I personally know two families who have had similar diagnoses when the mother was pregnant. Both families carried the babies to term – one of the children died hours after she was born, and the other died about a month after birth. In both cases, the joy the child brought to the family was indescribable. Each family was greatly enriched by the brief life of their child, and each family has grown closer to the Lord through their experience.
Please pray for all families who are in such situations – everything in our culture tells them to kill their children, but the Lord will pour abundant graces upon those who recognize the beautiful gift of life, regardless of the health of the child.
