Vote!
Voting is now open for the Catholic New Media Awards. This blog is nominated in the following categories:
- Best Blog by a Man
- Best New Blog (I am listed twice in this category for some reason under two of my URLs – vote for the one that says “The Divine Life: Why We Were Created”)
- Funniest Blog
- Most Entertaining Blog
- Most Informative Blog
I figure I have no chance in any category except “Best New Blog,” but in that category I’m running against myself, so my vote might be split against me (“Vote for me!” “No, vote for me!” “Wait a minute, you are me!”). Perhaps I’ll make a backroom deal with myself in a smoke-filled room to swing the election in my way.
If I win any category, I promise to bring hope and change to the blogosphere. Change you can hope for. Hope you can change. Hope for change. Change your hope. Hope. Change. Vote for “The Divine Life: Why We Were Created” and you’ll have enough hope and change to make you nauseous.

I don’t know if there’s anything you can do about this, but your blog is listed twice under “Best New Blog”, once for the sammonsonline domain and once for ericsammons. If you can do something about this, you should, because otherwise your legions of supporters will end up splitting the vote and you won’t get the full credit you deserve.
Let me know/post it up here if you either get it resolved, or if you pick one of the two for us to vote for – I’m holding my votes until then.

Dean,
I mentioned that in the blog post, and you should vote for the ericsammons.com one. (I’m thinking of having a side contest against myself, and have the winner buy the loser a gift certificate to Amazon).
I did contact the Awards about the duplication last week, but they appear to not accept that I am, in fact, just one person, and not a split personality. I checked this with myself and I said that this is the case.
Oops – sorry. That’s what I get for skimming rather than reading.
