Marching orders for Catholic bloggers, podcasters, twitterers

From our Holy Father:

I am inviting all those who make use of the new technologies of communication, especially the young, to utilize them in a positive way and to realize the great potential of these means to build up bonds of friendship and solidarity that can contribute to a better world.

Young people in particular, I appeal to you: bear witness to your faith through the digital world!

Employ these new technologies to make the Gospel known, so that the Good News of God’s infinite love for all people, will resound in new ways across our increasingly technological world!

Let’s get to it!

  1. Eric,

Great wisdom from the Holy Father and I thank you for putting it out there for all to see. I’m myself got to it as well about a year ago in putting together a daily meditation site based primarily on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius. After having attended silent retreats for many year, I came away with some great meditation material for which I could barely keep track of and in fact would forget about at times. Thus, the seed was planted and I set up the site as really a depository of the “best of the best” material and then started posting just a simple meditation each day. The daily meditations are free, no spam. Just a simple meditation and format.

The site – Silent Insight – Daily Catholic Meditations for Faith, Listening, and Peace (www.SilentInsight.com).

Keep up the good work. I enjoy your site.
