To be "real" Catholic does not require having five kids because that's a couple's personal choice while others who cannot make it for whatever reason does not necessarily mean they cannot be real Catholic. It's not a matter of "fun". I believe children are special gifts from God.

Ok, this is really fun. I thought I may be a real Catholic but there's no way I can fulfill the requirement of having at least five children. lol..

I know this is all a joke - and a lot of them made me laugh out loud.

But the one about having five kids kinda stings - plenty of faithful Catholics may be unable to conceive children. At all. So to joke about being really Catholic by having five kids just didn't seem to fit with the rest. The rest were all choices most people could make, but that isn't really a choice for some of us.

Whatever other people say about the addition of Luminous Mysteries being optionsl or a break from tradition - Joyful, Sorrowful & Glorious Mysteries, I find them very appropriate in meditating on the public life and ministry of Jesus in His time. It has Biblical reference. Thanks to Pope JPII... My chilren are named Gualberto Ma., Oscar Ma.,Denise Marie, Elyceos Ma. and Mary Elizabeth, and I am just a plain Catholic.

I'm usually not the guy to post comments on people's blog posts, but for this post I simply had to do it. I have been searching in your site a lot nowadays and I'm super impressed, I think you could really become the main opinions for your market. Not sure what your workload is like in life, but if you started devoting more effort to posting here, I would guess you would begin receiving a mass of traffic eventually. With ads, it might become a nice passive income source. Just something to ponder. Good luck!

Don't know if I'm really or Uber, but I thought this article was a hoot!

Really Catholic Moms: Buy modest swimsuits for their children
Uber Catholic Moms: take their kids to confession after seeing the swimsuits others are wearing at the pool.

It's summertime after all...

I think I must be a lame Catholic. I know the original 15 mysteries of the Rosary.
Before I started getting on the internet, I had never heard that JP II made up 5 more, or about Divine Mercy Sunday either, even though I went to mass every Sunday. I think that's because I live in the diocese of Rochester. I have no objection to 5 more mysteries, but if I say the rosary it is when I am out walking and don't have a book with me to learn the new ones from. So I still say only the ones I know. I know the Hail Holy Queen, but I have never memorized the Memorare. Definitely lame.

I did have nine kids though, and fell somewhere between the two meanings of NFP.
