St. Catherine of Siena
Today is the feast of St. Catherine of Siena, one of the great mystical saints of the Church. This humble woman is:
- A Doctor of the Church
- Patron Saint of Italy (along with St. Francis)
- Patron Saint of Europe (along with St. Benedict)
Not bad for someone who only lived to be 33 years old (although I know of someone else who accomplished more in that span).
